The images in this series come from a scrapbook found in a trash pile one morning during a bike ride near the Dan Ryan Expressway. Assembled in 1968 or so as some sort of grade school project, the book contains many news clippings that focus on the the changes in the city’s built environment at the time, including the impending demolition of historic train stations and Bertrand Goldberg’s original proposal for River City.
